Underwater fashion and art photographer pioneers?
Does anyone know of the people who began concentrating on fashion and art in underwater photography? I’m able to find a lot of information on how underwater photography began, but most of it’s targeted at the plant and animal life. Any help or a step in the right direction would be appreciated.

EWAEMUAZ UNDERWATER SLR AF/ PHOTO HOUSING, ZOOM $298 The housing can be used on small boats, in the surf, while swimming, snorkling or diving. As the camera and its various components are be operated through the plastic, the camras is operated normally and the use of an ewa-marine housing is easily adapetd to by the camera man. The fact that the U-AZ can be used with up to 300m lenses, makes it speciffically interesting for canoesist and other out door photographers that want to take pictures of birds and other wild life while in or on the water. The U-AZ is designed to fit almast all common SLR cameras on the market today, irrespective of the manufacturer or model. With this housing, a whole new world of applications openes up for your standard SLR camera: Inside the housing you can now take the camera safely canoeing, snorkling or eaven diving, up to a deapth of 20 m / 60 ft. If the optional BF1 lead weight is inserted into the housig, underneath the camera, it becomes even easier to reach the maximum depth. Experienced photographers have confirmed, that the auto focus and flash both continue to function perfectly. As you descend, the air is pressed into the camera. Due to this, the pressure inside the housing will remain the same as the surrounding water pressure. (this is the reason why ewa-marine housings are so safe to use: implosions are impossible) Due to this, we have to start the dive with a suitable amount of air inside the housing. The foam pads supplied with the housing are part of this air “reservoir” and additional air should also be blown into the housing, via the valve at the rear, to ensure that the maximum potential volume is being ut¹lised. Designed specifically for 35mm SLR cameras, the U-AZ housing is manufactured from double laminated PVC and has an integrated, optically neutral flat glass port. The flip-up, internal flash, that can be found on some models will fit into the specially designed section on the top of the housing, allowing its use above and under water. It has a pair of non-corrosive and seawater resistant clamping rails which fit together for perfect sealing. They tighten by means of three screw knobs. It is supplied in a handy yellow carry-case which has a water-proof interior and zippered side-pocket. |
