Diving Gloves

Lower forearm hit by baseball while diving for a catch. Help?
Dove for a fly ball and skimmed off my glove and hit my right lower forearm. Swollen for first 2 days. Swelling is now down but pain is more intense. There is pain when i move my wrist, and also when i move my wrist the injured area makes a creaky rubbery noise as if something is being stretched. Do not want to contact doctor so i dont have to have it casted. Please help
see an orthopaedic doctor so he can put a cast on. The sooner you put the cast on the quicker it will get better. If you don’t treat it correctly you could get “myositis ossificans” That’s when the muscle turns to bone from the excessive bleeding inside the muscle. Then the muscle wont work because it’s turning into bone. The treatment for that is radiation therapy and you’ll have to see a radiologist for weekly treatments for it.
